I have seen or heard a segment that I would like to save. How do I find it on dw.de?

There are two ways to find the desired content. 1. Use the keyword search on dw.de. 2. Use the keyword search in the Media Center. Due to copyright reasons it is not possible for us to provide all videos for download.

1. Search dw.de
In DW’s search engine you can use “ ? “ for a search. The question mark (?) represents a single, random character.
Example: If you type in w?r, the result shows all information that includes a three  letter word with “w” at the beginning and “r” at the end.

The quotation mark (“) enables you to search for parts of sentences.
Example: If you type in “Deutsche Welle informs”, the result shows all information that includes this part of a phrase / sequence of letters.

Furthermore you have the possibility to search for keywords / catchwords by simply writing “TAG:” ahead of the actual search keyword.
Example: If you type in “TAG: Obama”, the result shows all information that is tagged with “Obama”.

2. Search the Media Center
Enter one or several keywords into the search field and press enter. The search will only be carried out in the language you have selected. Case sensitivity doesn’t matter.
